All of the Random, Funny, Experiences on the Trek

OK. The first funny thing that happened to me was that we got into camp and started preparing our dinner (which by the way did not have enough flavor to it). And the First Aid lady walks by and asks if got the bag of candy that was in our bucket for dessert for dinner. We did and said yes. She said to eat one to keep up our blood sugar and keep us going. That is the first and probably the last time anyone will ask me to eat my dessert first, then dinner. But that's not the funny part. I was sucking on a mint and this kid named Alex made me laugh which made me spit out my mint into someone elses stew!! I looked at for a second and Alex is like, "now look what you did!" So I started taking it out and Alex says to stir it in and starts stirring it in!! No! I finally got it out. I think Steven(that was his name) might have tasted some mint but he didn't say anything.

The next funny thing is that on the way down from the steep muddy hill, the bottom of my shoe started coming off. You know. The part that helps me not slip and keep a grip on the ground. Anyway it started flipping around. After about 15 feet it just came off. Now its lost forever. But I'm kind of glad it came off. It gave me an excuse to get good running shoes. Here's a picture.

The next funny thing is that the night it rained I was sleeping and my retainer came out somehow. I wasn't very happy 'cause I new I would get in trouble for something totally accidental. But when they brought back the sleeping bags they had my retainer in a little baggy. And when I told my mom about this she stood there waiting for me to say the "but they found it" part. It should interesting seeing my orthodontists face when I tell him I lost it. And then a minute later tell him I found it.

I think that's all. I know these stories probably weren't even funny to you. But I had to tell them somehow.
Oh and sorry about the last post that it was so long. I didn't think about doing a part 1 and a part 2 'till after I had published it.

Hopefully I will write about the puppies in a couple days 'cause their eyes are opened. :)

First, coming from the queen of long blogs, I enjoyed yours. Second, your stories were funny. And third, pioneers had retainers? If you're one of "those" pioneers, you should have also had a camera.

Jared and I were Pioneer parents on a trek right after we got married and it was so great. Lots of mud, walking, cold, and for some reason a lot of US cooking. Definitely a good experience!

Oh yeah, are you going to spit things in my food at the reunion? Just wondering.

what? why would I spit things in your food?
and I was gonna bring a camera. I just forgot. And I wasn't sure if they would even let me bring one. but they did and I was really mad I forgot to ask.
